John Steady, owner of Steady Photography, learned his trait while  working at Camp Pendleton’s Division Combat Photo while a member of the United  States Marine Corps (1991-1995).  After  leaving the USMC, John worked as a photographer for numerous newspapers along  the CT Shoreline.

In 2003, ten years after first picking up a camera, John  Steady decided to make the move to open his own studio…Steady Photography in  Branford, CT.

In the early years, Steady Photography was mainly a sports  photography business…working with youth leagues, high school sports teams, and  creating a website to sell action photos. Luckily through all the contacts in  the sports world, the business has evolved.

2005 was a big year. We shot our first three weddings and  also became the official photographer of Branford High School. Since that point  we have added Guilford High School and shoot approximately 15 weddings a year,  along with numerous portrait sessions and corporate clients.
